Also called the Spanish “Fleur de Sel”. The “Añana Flor de Sal” is carefully harvested by hand out of one of the oldest salt factories in the world in the Salt Valley of the Basque Country in Northern Spain. Humans collected salt in the valley since 6500 BC.
“Flor de Sal” has been collected since ancient times (having been mentioned by Roman historian Pliny the Elder in his book “Natural History”).
